The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other accompanied by songs detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for season 2 vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with audience demands as the main goal," the creator commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have received approval by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about season 2 — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she says. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
